DEBRA SCHNEIDER As the one of the owners and lead trainer, Deb has always had a dog at her side. In 1985 she brought a basset hound named Kelsey into her life. Kelsey would change her life, as well as her career focus. Since 1989 she has helped six of her dogs earn various titles, including breed champion, companion dog, companion dog excellent, utility, rally (all levels), the canine good citizen class and therapy certifications. In 1991 Deb and a partner opened “Top Dog Training Academy” in Hudson, Wisconsin. In 1996 she left the partnership to open her own school in Woodbury, Minnesota, AllBreed Obedience and Behavioral School for Dogs along with her husband Michael.
Being a professional dog trainer had been a second job for many years for Deb, who worked at 3M for 16 years. In 1996 she opted to make the move and leave the world of business to literally go to the dogs full time. She has never regretted her decision. The world of the human/canine relationship makes for a rewarding and challenging profession, one she is proud to be part of.
She is very active in the world of dogs outside of training and behavioral work. She gives her time generously to the various rescue groups in need of help. She is a judge for the American Kennel club, judging obedience at the Novice and Open levels, as well as all levels for Rally. She is a certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator and also judges all levels of obedience for ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America). She lives with her three dogs, all of whom compete in various venues and are loved dearly!
MICHAEL SCHNEIDER
Michael has been at Debra’s side for 27 years and was drawn into the dog world without any complaints! His background of nursing makes him the perfect “dog sitter” for his canine daycare program. His experience in dog training, his five years of running a very successful boarding program, and dog walking has given him an in depth understanding of the canine mind, body and soul. Truly Michael puts his whole heart into his canine daycare and the dogs respond in turn by trusting and respecting him as a friend.
JAKE SCHNEIDER Jake Schneider is the youngest of the Schneider pack. He started his dog career when he was ten, showing our then 6 month basset Maybee in the world of breed conformation with AKC. He championed Maybee himself, just after his 13th birthday. He has since come into his own, handling his basset Copper in breed, as well as handling dogs for clients. He and his wife have started their own business in Pine City, AllBreed North. Jake has been training classes with us in the past. He is now running his own obedience business out of his home in Pine City, as well as in-home boarding. We are proud to be the “parent company”!!
TRAINING PHILOSOPHY: Obedience Training should be an education for both the owner and the dog. Clear communication is the first link in a solid training program. Force is not training, it's a bending of wills. At AllBreed we believe in working with your dog's nature, not against it. Training should fit both the dog as well as the handler! Always remember, all dogs are different. Training should not be a "one size fits all" approach. Respect, trust and love are the main ingredients for a harmonious relationship with our canine companions! Got Questions?!
